NOTICE TO ALL FIRE POLICE

Let it be known

IF YOU ARE CALLED TO ASSIST another fire company, no matter what the call is about, you are committed until released by the senior FIRE POLICE OFFICER IN CHARGE OF THAT SCENE.

There have been a few instances where Fire Police have left the scene when their fire company departed. THIS IS IMPROPER, IT IS TOTALLY AGAINST what this association is all about.

ONCE YOU ARE "ON SCENE", YOU BELONG TO THE TOWNSHIP YOU ARE ASSISTING. YOU WILL BE RELEASED IF REQUESTED, PROVIDED you allow time to be replaced.

IF YOU ARE UNDER PRESSURE TO RETURN TO STATION BY YOUR FIRE CHIEF, THEN DO NOT COME OUT TO ASSIST AT THE SCENE. HAVING YOU LEAVE UNEXPECTEDLY OR WITHOUT TELLING ANYONE IS WORSE THAN NOT HAVING YOU THERE.

IF THIS SOUNDS ROUGH, SORRY!!!!!!BUT THOSE THAT CARE ARE TRYING TO MAKE A POINT.
